WWII K RATION DINNER UNIT BOXES: TWO OUTER & 1 INNER

Three empty WWII K Ration Dinner (What We Refer to Now as “Lunch”) Unit Boxes show varying signs of age, wear, use, damage & long term storage. As can be seen in the photos, one outer box is in POOR CONDITION with clearly visible signs of damage and missing material. The box appears to be glued shut with another box inside it, but we have not inspected it very closely due to the condition of the outer box. The second outer box remains in GOOD to VERY GOOD condition showing only light to moderate signs of age, wear and use with some light damage that is visible in the photos. This box also appears to be glued shut but remains very solid and is not fragile. The inner, dark olive brown waxed “Ration, Type K” box remains in GOOD Condition showing light to moderate signs of age, wear and use as well as some rodent damage that is also visible in the photos. Box, like the others, appears glued shut and also remains very solid. Two of the boxes look good and display very well. The other is rough, as you can tell, but is perfectly capable of being displayed. All three of these were together and part of the same collection for many years, we have decided to leave them together. Overall, a rather good looking set of original K Ration boxes for the money.
