Description

World War One Imperial German Model 1916 Camouflage Painted “Stahlhelm.”¬† Very attractive helmet bears a rather seldom seen “sand” brown and “grass” green camouflage paint scheme that displays extremely well (in our opinion). Helmet shows visible signs of age, wear and use and is minus the liner and chinstrap. Camouflage paint shows age and wear, but remains clear, bold and easy to see throughout the exterior of the helmet. No readily apparent rust or corrosion to any aspect of the helmet. Shell bears an approximately three inch crack to the upper rear portion of the crown that is visible in the photos below, but not readily apparent when the helmet is displayed. Skirt is clearly marked “E.T. 64.” By no means a perfect example, but definitely a good looking and impressive helmet to add to your collection.
