World War One US Army Air Service Sergeant’s Model 1917 Tunic remains in truly EXCELLENT CONDITION and is a beautiful, advanced collector grade example. NO readily apparent mothing, soiling, streaking, staining, fading or other blemishes. Excellent condition embroidered wool aviation roundel to the left shoulder as well as a red HD chevron and two heavy gold bullion OSS chevrons to the left sleeve. All remaining very firmly applied by their original thread. Right shoulder bears an excellent condition set of applied and embroidered wool Aviation Sergeant’s Chevrons, that also remain firmly attached by their original thread. Collar bears Very Good Condition “US” and Excellent Condition Aviation Winged Propeller discs that maintain their correct round fasteners to the rear. Left chest bears a period WWI victory ribbon that also remains in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos. All original “vegetable ivory” buttons remain firmly in place as do the “hook and loop” collar fasteners. Interior shows no readily apparent blemishes of any sort and the QMD tag remains firmly applied with all information clearly legible. Fits nicely on a Size 36 mannequin torso. Very hard to upgrade from this one and we are very confident that you will be extremely pleased with this piece when you see it.
